Rules for chat: 
1. This is open to both survivors and supporters of survivors, male and female, regardless of age (if you are under 13, you must get permission from your parents before giving out any personal information). 

2. Be supportive! We don't need any further abuse. IP addresses are visible to administraters and moderators only and are logged. Those who come to the chat room to harass or hurt will be banned and reported to your ISP.

3. Watch offensive or profane language. Everyone should be comfortable here. If someone is bothering you, you can ignore them using this command and replacing "nick" with their user name:  /ignore nick 

4. People are here to support you, but if you are seriously contemplating suicide, you need to consult a professional. Call 1-800-656-HOPE, look up a suicide hotline in the yellow pages, or go to the emergency room. The people in this chat room are here for support and are not trained professionals.We understand that everyone isn't always in a happy mood, and you can definitely write about how you're feeling, but that does not include suicide notes. 

5. Be respectful of different ways of healing. Not everyone heals in the same way or makes the same choices.
