Welcome to Barbados
a tori amos inspired site for rape and sexual abuse survivors
Welcome to Barbados* is a Tori Amos inspired site for rape and sexual abuse victims and survivors. In the following pages, you will find my story as well as the sexual violence survivor stories of hundreds of other courageous survivors. You will also find a message board and chat room for victims and survivors of all types of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. I hope to provide for each visitor a safe place to learn, teach, and grow. What is said may be triggering; please stay safe while exploring this site, and I wish you the best of luck in healing.

Disclaimer: This site has nothing to do with the island of Barbados except in title. The name is derived from a Tori Amos song entitled "Me and a Gun" and is not meant to imply that I was raped in Barbados. Further, the name is not meant to portray Barbados as an unsafe place, but rather a place of healing and strength. To read more about the title, please read the explanation on the main page or the FAQ.  If you are looking for information on the beautiful islands of Barbados, please check out The Barbados Island Guide at Totally Barbados.
